Champagne bottles
Work exactly as expected. No surprises. Best used with standard bottle caps unless you want to pay for special champagne corks.

Can you do a secondary ferment in these bottles & which crown seal do you recommend?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can do a secondary fermentation in these, but I'm not sure what pressure they are rated to. These are lighter than most Champagne bottles, so I don't know if I would go up to Champagne pressures with these. Any 26mm (standard) crown cap should do the job.
Can these bottles be sealed with standard 26mm beer bottle caps?
E V on Dec 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They can be, but a "wing capper" does not work to cap them. It must be done with a Bench Capper, or a Colonna Capper. The "wing capper" ( Like the "Royal Crown Capper) does not work right because of the way that it grabs the bottle, the shape and neck of these interferes with the action of the capper. This is also true of some kinds of Belgian beer bottles.
