Great sparge arm!
Using this sparge arm for simplicity! I outfitted it with a cam lock system for easy hookups and cleaning.

Finally got a Sparge Arm
The overall construction seems solid. It's a pretty simple design that works well. The only thing that I think could have been improved upon was the piece of hose that is attached between the stainless tube and the sparge head. This piece of hose appears to just be a regular vinyl, which I wouldn't feel comfortable with running high temperature sparge water through. I replaced this segment of tubing with some silicon hose. Works fine.

Pricey, but works great.
Fits my 10 gallon Rubbermaid cooler with extension length to spare. The hardware could've been better. I changed the washers for a bigger set to make the arms more solid when extended. The supplied 3/8" tubing for the sprayer was really thin so I used thermoplastic tubing. Then I finished it with Camlock fittings for the top input, which isn't necessary but it works great with my Chugger pump. So far so good!

Does the job
No problems so far.

Sparge Arm
Not that impressed with the spare arm. Expected a better product. The tubing is not hot temp tubing. The adjustment screws are very tiny and flimsy. It’s a great idea; I’ll replace several of the parts with more substantial ones and continue to use it. Do not recommend buying the spare arm as it is offered now.

Not Real Happy
Used the sparge arm for the first time a couple weeks ago and was not happy with coverage the nozzle produced. Thinking it might be the reason why we didn't reach our gravity mark

Total Disaster
So I really wanted to like this, but it just didn't work well at all for me. It fit my 10 gallon Rubbermaid cooler, but it certainly wasn't a tight fit. Those wing nuts just can't be adjusted to really hold it solidly in place. Be careful, the stainless tube gets hot quick. The connection to a hose funning from my Hot Liquor Tank didn't seem very secure, and I worried about the whole setup toppling over during the sparge. Sure enough, a few minutes in, it flipped over on its side spewing 170 water all over the place. I grabbed it to get it back in place, and wow was it hot. That was it for me. Disconnected and returned for a refund. Without some upgrades from the hardware store (as mentioned in other reviews), this isn't safe to use in my opinion, at least not with a cooler setup. Perhaps on a kettle its more secure.

I'm not understanding exactly how this thing works, the product description isn't very clear. How does it "recirculate"? Is this automatic sparging?
M A on Feb 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Pumping water or using water from the mash will recirculate the water into the wort. I use a pump to drain the liquid from the bottom to pump through the sparge arm which then dispenses the liquid across the grains to rinse the sugars off the grain.
Will this adjust to fit the Blichmann Boilermaker G2 20 gallon kettle?
A N on Mar 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I feel it will. The sparge platform will adjust to fit most any kettle. The down spout adjusts to a reasonable height. I have used this sparge unit several times and am really pleased with it.
Is the short piece of flexible tubing vinyl or silicone?
J O on Feb 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The short piece of tubing appears to be 3/8" vinyl.
I like the sturdiness of the sparage arm and ease of putting it together.
The one feature I have a problem with is the spray nozzle not directing a wide enough spray with a low flow of water.
I see this uses and comes with a 3/8" ID hose. The rest of my system uses the more standard 1/2" ID hose. Which fittings would I need to purchase to mate these two hoses up? I saw this in the Wil Wheaton video you guys put out and it appears they have this setup with quick disconnects.
C J on Sep 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: A double 1/2 inch female threaded coupler would allow you to attach quick disconnects and can go with a 1/2 barb one one end to a 3/8 barb on the other. It's a handy little middle piece to have and makes it easily attach anything.

I lost the o-ring that came with this. What size is it so I can purchase a replacement from the hardware store.
B B on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Best approach is to bring the metal rod with you to make sure it fits. It is 3/8" ID tubing that fits on the rod so a 3/8" ID O-ring would do the trick! Cheers!
