But Northern Brewer installed the sparge arm at position L1 instead of the R1 I requested.September 14, 2016Disappointed10 Gallon potPros:- It boils water- Water level sight glass tube- Inline drain fitting systemCon:- Temperature gauge is defective. As water heats up the needle jumps in 2 to 4 degree increments. Same when cooling. Then it stuck at 90 degrees until I tapped it repeatedly and to resettled @ 75. Will contact for a replacement.- Coming from an older version 8 gallon MegaPot this Blichmann metal thickness is very thin. A bump here or there with the Mega there was no worry of any dings/dents. This Blich I'm afraid of any tap will leave a mark.- Thin metal on the bottom allows for an oil canning effect as you drain/cool. Just when you are getting low draining the wort, and trying to keep the trub undesturbed, it pops back up and jostles everything. The above observations were after my initial brew with the new pot. Perhaps a few more batches will change my mind, but for the price, I'm disappointed.October 11, 2015Response from Northern BrewerIf we can get an address verification we could try sending out a new thermometer. The metal diode that expands and contracts may just need some wearing in through use. Not sure if it will get better over time
its under warranty and we have a record of this so could help at any time. Thanks for the review
it is being posted
but if you want to edit it in the future
