A remix to the perennially classic Saison style, the Bloodthirsty Saison is a fantastic rustic ale that lends a fierce citrus character to the spice of the traditional Saison yeast strain.

We strongly recommend ordering dry yeast in the summer months. We do include complimentary Cold Ice Packs with all liquid yeasts. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will survive the trip, given transit times and particularly hot temperatures.

I am trying to decide whether to dump the blood orange puree in the primary fermenter at the 2 week point, or rack on top of the puree in a secondary fermentor. What do you think? Also, is the puree put in strictly on a time basis at two weeks, or when the specific gravity has stabilized?

BEST ANSWER: I would rack the beer on top of the puree in secondary once you have reached a stable gravity.
