Excellent yeast for any Irish ale style.
I have used this yeast in four different batches and this yeast attenuates well, clears perfectly and creates true to form Stouts and Irish Red Ales. I will continue to purchase this item for many more batches.

great yeast for a stout
I just brewed a cream stout using this yeast (while creating a 2L starter). This ferments quickly and aggressively at easy to maintain temperatures. I would highly recommend this strain for most stouts.

Good Yeast
I have used this yeast several times, gets to work fast and ferments clean. Used 1084 in the NB Three Hearted ale kit and a dry coffee stout, very pleased with the results in both beers and friends loved the turn out. Product details say it may produce diacetyl but with adequate rest I have yet to notice any in my final product.

Use in IPAs
I was first switched on to this strain a few years ago and was impressed by its volcanic nature (don't ferment too warm). Because I enjoy slightly soft IPAs with a dry, malty backbone, this is my go to strain. If you like using tons of fruity hops in your IPAs and want a yeast to compliment the hop aromas/flavors, look no further than the 1084. This strain also bottle conditions well, as it leaves a tightly compacted cake.

Great yeast
The best beer (NB- Irish Draught) i've made included this yeast.I've used it two other times with stouts and the beer had a great taste. Go for it.

Nice, aggressive fermentation
This yeast ferments aggressively, quickly, and cleanly. It leaves behind very mild esters so use in a porter or stout is ideal. Made a pumpkin porter with this and it turned out awesome.

excellent yeast
Though the final product is still bottle aging, the "sample" I have had for Quality Control prove that this was the perfect yeast for what I brewed - a milk stout. Easy to use and great results. Looking forward to many more batches!

Solid Performer
Used it in a specialty grain packed Sweet Stout 1.072 OG without a separate starter and it was down to 1.021 in just over 5 days. Fermented on the higher side of things (69 deg) yet still remained clean without too much of the fruity esters common other strains. Sample at bottling had excellent body and was rich and smooth.

Used several times
Used this strain several times on classic dry irish stouts. Ferments in 3-4 days compared to 7-10 days for most ale yeast I am used to. My best stout I ever made was with this yeast fermented i the low 60's. Granted my experience is limited, but this yeast has done me a solid every time.

Does this yeast need refrigeration?

BEST ANSWER: yes I keep it refrigerated until about 3 to 4 hours before it will be used . just follow instructions on package let set at room temp for length of time mentioned above . I use it for my stouts works great everytime . hope this helps
