Scaled down for a small batch, this strong American red ale is built to take on the cold, boasting substantial gravity to ensure you have a happy holiday. Malty but not too sweet with just enough bitterness to balance, we've foregone the spices in favor of a distinct citrus hop profile (bolstered by real citrus!) to define this perennial holiday favorite.

The compelling copper-red hue of Brickwarmer comes from a special blend of malts- pale chocolate adds a warm, toasty dimension to the fig-and-toffee notes of authentic English caramel. This earthy and dark dried-fruit character segues into bright floral citrus from the hops and a charge of sweet orange peel at the end of the boil! It’s an exceptionally enjoyable pint that will be sure to please this holiday season.

Smelled great but....
I bought this kit for New Years. It smelled great during the boil and was excited to try it after I bottled it. I was disappointed with the outcome. I had some serious off flavors and it smelled "skunky". I had to dump the entire batch. I followed the instructions but got this result. I think it was my error. I must have messed something up as I a new to home brewing. This review has more to do with the customer service I received from NB. I texted them with my situation and they were very helpful in trying to help me identify my problem. It seems to have been a sanitation issue. Thank you NB for your help and teaching a newbie the ropes. I would give customer service 5 stars. I hope to order this kit again and try to brew it correctly. Thanks.

Tried a bottle after 2 weeks but was not impressed. Tried another last night and a world of difference. Good recipe. Just be patient enough for it to age in the bottle

powerful
made this as my second ever batch. very intense flavors. I've learned that the kits boil down too much and get too intense if you don't add more than the recommended water. I go with 1.5 gallons at the start instead of 1.25. will try this again to see if it is less intense. but if you're looking for flavor, this beer is for you.

Has an amazing flavor! It took a while longer to carbonate due to the high ABV! Well worth the wait!

Here and gone!
I brewed a batch of this (Seven 15.2 oz. bottles) for our Christmas party. I was lucky to get a bottle for myself! It went fast, and the remaining 6 bottles were drained by my guests. Each one complimented the flavor.

Is this an all-grain kit or an extract kit?
F T on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Brickwarmer small batch kit is an extract recipe.
I'm getting some one gallon kegs and I was wondering what the correct co2 volumes for this beer.
Michael M on Dec 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Michael,

I'd put it at 2.3 volumes. That's the level that is usually recommended for an Amber Ale.

Cheers!

My name: Martin Espinosa (martinaespinosag@gmail.com). Can I get this kit imported to Mexico? If so, what would be the HS/Tariff Code I should use if I buy around 5 to 10 kits? Would you be so indicate about the shipping costs? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: We're not able to ship outside the 50 United States. If you have a freight forwarder or friend/relative in the contiguous United States we can ship your orders there for our usual rates. From there

they would assume responsibility for getting your package to you. An internet search will give you options for freight forwarders if you're interested. I'm sorry for the inconvenience

and let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
