Oh, how Calypso captivates her audience. Gorgeous, soft floral aroma lands with an overt kick of dried apple, pear and citrus.

Described as unlike any other hop that has come before it, Calypso offers brilliant flavor and aroma, covering a wide spectrum of specific descriptors: lemons, cherry blossoms, black pepper, bitter orange, mint, hints of tropical fruit and sappy, pronounced pear.

A unique and versatile hop for the home brewer.
Calypso Hop Pellets .... This pellet hop has been a very good addition to my pale ale recipes. It has been used by the Big Boy breweries for a wide range of brews. I like how it works well with other hops and does not over power the taste and I have not found any problems with it's use in brewing. Calypso can be used as an Aroma or Bitter Hop.

Wow!
I've used this hop a few times now. Once in a SMaSH and then in a 50/50 Calypso/Rakau IPA. It was delicious!! After reading the description, I was a bit weary of possible apple or pear flavor, but it's surprising how it works. Very tasty! I'm adding a Rye Pale Ale to my Autumn line up and going to try it with Calypso and Chinook...We'll see how it turns out, but I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Love it
My new favorite hops for my summer pale ale and IPA. Have used in a smash and mixed with Zythos and Simcoe.

Pricey
A little on the expensive side, but hard to find. Great dual purpose hop, smooth bittering and smells amazing

Versatile flavorful hop
Currently enjoying it as a late hop addition in a 2.3% abv Belgian/Trappist blonde type beer. I don't get a lot of fruit off of it here or other brews, including an IPA, nor citrus. I get spice, black pepper, mild apple/pear, hint of dank. The spice plays exceptionally well with Belgian yeast and it also compliments C-hop american style hops very well.

Great Hop
I used Calypso in a session IPA as an aroma hop paired with Waimea as the bittering hop, I must say I fell in love with this combo they paired vary well together! am going to do a smash IPA with just Calypso next to get more of the exact flavors from this variety but the flavors I got were pretty spot on with your description!

Calypso Rocks!
I used 2 0z in a 3 gallon SMASH. Calypso has an amazing aroma of tropical fruit. I mainly got mango , papaya , and grapefruit. Will do a repeat of this.
