This all-organic, overhopped interpretation of a Vienna lager will not malfunction and rise up against its human masters ... probably. But who knows what will happen when you take an elegant, malty, medium-bodied red-amber lager and dump in enough imported organic Saphir hops to make an IPA? Includes organic priming sugar.

Kit Inventory

Specialty Grains

  • 1 lbs. Briess Organic Caramel 60

Fermentables

  • 6 lbs. Organic Light Malt Syrup
  • 1 lbs. Organic Light Dry Malt Extract

Boil Additions

  • 3 oz. Organic Saphir Hops (60 min)
  • 1.5 oz. Organic Saphir Hops (30 min)
  • 0.5 oz. Organic Saphir Hops (15 min)

If you choose dry yeast

  • Saflager W-34/70. Optimum temperature: 48-59° F.

If you choose liquid yeast

  • Wyeast #2278 Czech Pils. Optimum temperature: 48-58° F.

All kits also contain a muslin mesh bag for steeping the grains (if required).
