The Keg is good but the regulator is JUNK
The Keg is good but the regulator is JUNK. At the time of my review it was a "CO2PO" regulator and I hope they change it to something different. When you set the PSI to something like 10 it should stay there. But over time, it goes all the way up to like 30 (and maybe more if I didn't shut it off) and then you readjust it and then it goes down to a lower number. It would not stay where I set it. I've seen the needle flutter like it didn't know what to do. It was a constant battle, and it's nothing but junk. I have since bought another regulator elsewhere, and when you set it to 10, it stays at 10. I wasn't very happy about it, and Northern Brewer wasn't too excited to do anything about it.

Good keg, cheap faucet.
The keg is great. The plastic faucet...not so great. After one use, the little plastic pin that depresses the keg pin broke. I was able to flip the pin around and make it work for a second brew, but NOT high quality. If you only order one, I'd order a spare faucet, because it would stink if it broke when you were kegging and didn't have a spare on hand.

Bottle this!!
I've read that bottling is the worst, kegged beer tastes the best. Loading the keg is no different than transferring it to a secondary? fermenter. Just put the C02 on & in a few days you're ready to drink. No priming sugars, making extra yeast in the bottom (clearer beer). No light ruining it. Easy clean up... Like it so much I bought two.

Super easy and makes clean up a breeze with the wide mouth
Carbonated my first brew yesterday, instructions were to the point and it also helps that the pressure gauge is labeled for the types of beers you are carbonating.

Works great with no issues
I had no trouble setting this up. It fits in a fridge and seals up great. I am currently on my first brew/keg and love it so far. I will starting batch two tomorrow.

First Keg, very happy
This is my first keg and boy....is it sweet :)
Very happy with the quality of the system. I'll be experimenting this weekend with kegging a smaller batch (3 gallon) into the full keg, and perhaps bottling some force carbonated. Its all about the experimentation and the journey!
Very happy with this purchase.

I'll likely never carbonate my beer in a bottle again.
I got my keg system within a week... all the way down here on the Texas Gulf Coast. This was everything I expected and was easy to set up and use. I have zero experience with beer keg setups. I have always went the route of adding priming sugar and taking an extra week to enjoy. This was fast and easy and tastes great.
First kegged batch.. Chocolate Stout. Mmmm!

What are the keg dimensions???
A shopper on Dec 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The keg is 25 inches tall from bottom of keg to top of the handle. It is 8 1/2 inches around at the widest part of the rubber collar on the bottom.
Can you bottle your beer after it has been kegged...that is use keg as storage facility until you have bottles or if you wish to bottle brew later?
A shopper on Jan 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely, in fact, it's a great way to keep oxygen out. You can either add priming sugar to the keg and bottle right away, or carbonate, then use a beer gun or similar device to bottle.
Can the CO2 be removed and the keg be transported once the beer is ready?
A shopper on Mar 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sure, and it'll hold its carb too, but you'll need to bring the co2 tank to be able to hook it back up to serve it.
What size co2 tank for the single keg system?
A shopper on Dec 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: A 5 lb tank works great.
Previous reviews say that the product is reconditioned. Is it new or used?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Either are available. I purchased a brand new one and few months later a reconditioned one. The new keg was everything you would expect. The gently used one looked just that - no dents just a few scuffs. Both work perfectly.
What is the minimum amount of space needed inside a fridge to fit this set up including a 5lb CO2 tank?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for contacting Northern Brewer. The diameter of the keg is 8.75" diameter, and the height is 25" with the disconnects in place. The size of a 5lb CO2 tank is 5.25" diameter and 18" tall. Hopefully that will help to figure out how much space you need. Cheers!
How do you remove the dip tube? It's not connected to the poppit...
A shopper on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: After removing the fitting, the dip tube should pull right out. You may need to angle it a bit while removing it since it's curved.
Can you use nitrogen instead of carbon dioxide with this system? I am going to use it for still meads and not beer.
A shopper on May 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You would need a nitrogen regulator for that use, this comes with a co2 one.
What is the total dimension and weight of the box containing all the products?
A shopper on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The box for this is 10" by 10" by 36"; the kit package weighs 13 lbs.
Is the valve on the regulator a check type or straight through? I have experienced a drop in pressure of about four pounds in check types. Not a problem just a consideration.
