Product Details

Plastic 3/8" OD bottle filler with gravity-operated valve. We prefer this filler for its cleanability. Fillers work best with a bucket equipped with a bottling spigot.

13" Length.

Don't waste the money
worked great for two times and the third time using it would not open on a regular basis without having to take off and clean.

Sticks Open Too Often
I discarded this bottle filler after just two bottling sessions. The valve would not reliably close when lifted from the bottle and the hence it kept peeing beer wherever it was pointing. I've switched to the spring close version they sell at NB and that is perfect!

Terrible seal, leaks constantly
Seal is completely reliable in the sense that it doesn't work. Leaks a constant stream.

Sorry to hear about an issue, customer service is contacting you to get you fixed up. Some dripping is expected, as the design facilitates hands free and relatively quick filling, but some drips can be normal. Your's does not sound normal.

Poor Craftsmanship but Better Than Nothing
the summary of my review says it all. This filler will probably get you through many batches, but why endure the headache? The main problem has adequately been described by others in that how finnicky this is and it's easy to overfill a bottle or bump it and loose beer. I'm planning on looking into the spring loaded filler.

Junk
In theory, filling from the bottom up incorporates less air into your finished product. In practice, this product is messy and awkward. Using just the spigot on the bottling bucket is faster, cleaner, and more consistent in the volume dispensed into the bottle. Alternately, for the same price, there's a spring loaded filler that gets glowing reviews. I'm going to try that one on my next batch.

Don't waste your time
It's only $2.99--very well, but what's the point of any product this poor. The plain spigot on the bottling bucket worked much better. I'm gonna try the spring-loaded filler for 24 cents less--it can't be worse.

Cracked plastic
My bottle filler is about 2 years old and has been used to transfer and bottle about 8 batches of beer. It has never been dropped or exposed to extreme heat -- only what comes out of the faucet for cleaning. It's also stored out of the direct sunlight. It's now forming cracks all over the surface of the plastic.

Cheap and loses beer
This bottle filler leaked a little after first batch no big deal, I expected it, however on the second batch it leaked everywhere, lost probably 3-4 beers because of this cheaply made junk and made a mess. Came with the kit I ordered, for that kind of money you should have included a decent filler!!!! NOW I have to buy another one before bottling my next batch!!!! Extremely disappointed!!!! Thanks!

Defective products can be replaced at no cost to the customer. Customer service is contacting you! The bottle filler lacks a spring so it can be set in the bottle and does not need to be pushed down the whole time to fill....then you can have the next bottle ready to be filled next in line so any drips do not result in a loss of beer or significant mess. If it starts to spray, not drip, all it usually takes is a little tap against the side of the bottle to seal the nozzle better. Sometimes this can happen towards the end as there is less force from gravity to seal the nozzle.

Constantly gets stuck open!
This is a terrible design. I can't tell you the frustration on bottling day because this wand could not make a seal. After every bottle I had beer spraying everywhere until I pulled the stopper down, risking contamination from my hands. A simple spring inside the wand would go lightyears for making this a usable item. Multiple bottles of beer wasted and beer all over my house and self.

Hi,

I saw your review and thought I'd shoot you a note. Those bottle fillers definitely shouldn't be doing that, and I think the one you have is defective. I'm sending over another one. Hopefully it should fix things. It's a fairly simplistic design that's been in use in the homebrewing world for 20 years or so, and rarely has trouble.

Please let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Gabe

will this work with 5/16" ID Beverage Tubing?
Raymon A on Nov 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will fit inside 5/16" ID tubing.

For comparison's sake i bought 2 different bottle fillers:

7200 Spring Tip Bottle Filler
7202 Fermenter's Favorites Bottle Filler

My 1st bottling will occur next weekend, but i filled each with water to see how they work. The spring tip one (7200) is, surprise, spring loaded. When not depressed it formed a tight seal and let no water past. The other one (7202) relies on the weight of the liquid to close the end and when not depressed there was still some dripping.
Is it possible to take this apart for cleaning? I tried to pop the plastic valve from the bottom but was afraid to break it.

BEST ANSWER: This bottle filler does not come apart for cleaning.
