Product details

A spinoff of our highly popular Nut Brown Ale kit that combines American malts, hops and ale yeast with honey.
What would happen if you augmented the slightly dry, caramelly and roasty character of a smooth, mellow English brown ale with the sweet floral flavor of honey? What if you added the honey at the very last possible minute to maximize its presence in the finished beer? What if it was delicious? This recipe is a spinoff of our highly popular Nut Brown Ale kit that combines American malts, hops and ale yeast with honey. A well-balanced and intensely drinkable beer.

First All-grain batch with Honey Brown Ale

This was my first crack at an all-grain batch, and on my new electric all in one system. Turned out great. Notes of chocolate and a subtle honey finish. Very happy with it!

Honey brown ale

Delicious. Second time I've brewed it. Used 50% more honey this time, think I'll add flaked oats next time

Lover it!

Delicious!

Ended up coming in at 5.5%. Very little notes of honey, but it’s still fantastic! Perfect brown/amber color. Great on a hot day.

Willy M.

Totally forgot to add the honey and still turned out good.
