Does the job
Bottled first Belgian with these. Bought the tool to tighten these down. Tried with a regular pen to compare. Much faster and more professional looking when using tool. 6 - 6.5 turns while, this is important, applying tension perpendicular to the bottle. Like Brandon mentioned, it is very easy to over tighten and break cage. I will personally buy these again when the time calls. Good luck!

Very professional looking
Gonna get the tool for next batch of belgians to bottle.Used pliers in a multi-tool and got a technique down of pulling the wire out and down to make sure I tightened under the bottle crown/lip. Twisting about 6 to 10 turns depending on the bottle, got very professional results, but the tool looks like it'd be a lot easier and less chances of scaring the wire.

the fast way
No need for tools. Place on bottle, place pointing finger into loop, rotate finger quarter turn, then tighten down with thumb and one finger. I find that they can be reused once but do sometimes break during re-use

Does the job
Do NOT overtighten - it's pretty easy to do, and the wires will snap.I initially had a hard time using the wire tightening tool, but the trick is to pull the loop taught, and twist 6-8 times. Practice a few times on a dummy bottle before bottling day.

Works Well; Be careful to not over-tighten
I purchase these to use with Belgian style corks on Champagne bottles. I was bottling some sours and wanted wanted to bottle with something that I knew that could withstand the pressure, so these hooded wires were needed to keep the corks in place. I tightened them using a screw driver and pen instead of the recommended tool. This worked fine, but it's very easy to over tighten and break the cage. After 40 bottles, I probably had 6 cages break on me.

Looks great
It took some practice to get these on right. Don't over tighten, they will fatigue and snap. They really dress up the Belgian bottles and give it a professional look.
