Poppet Valves

The most common cause of leaks originating from the ball- or pin-lock posts is a faulty poppet valve. Type A poppet valves fit Firestone V, VI, Challenger and Super Challenger kegs. Type B poppet valves fit Cornelius Spartan, Super Champion and 'R' kegs. Type C fits John Wood 85 and older Firestone Challenger kegs.

Keg Plug Assemblies

A dented keg-plug can make it difficult or impossible to attach and remove quick disconnects. Post assemblies are available for the liquid and gas sides. Includes poppet valve. It is not possible to replace pin-lock plugs with ball-lock plugs! Type A plug assembly fits Firestone V, VI, Challenger and Super Challenger kegs. Type B fits Cornelius Spartan, Super Champion and 'R' kegs. Type C fits John Wood 85 and older Firestone Challenger kegs.

O-Rings and Seals

When refurbishing an old keg, always replace the lid sealing o-ring, the two keg post o-ring, and the two dip tube o-rings.

Used Keg Seal Kit. A complete replacement for all five o-rings in a ball lock soda keg. This has the large lid sealing o-ring, two ball lock plug o-rings, and two dip tub o-rings. To replace the dip tube o-rings, you will need a deep socket wrench sized for your keg posts.

Plug O-Rings. Soda kegs have two male disconnects called plugs (sometimes called posts), and they are available for ball lock kegs ("BL") or for pin lock kegs ("PL"). We like the colored o-rings so that we can color-code the liquid or gas keg plugs for easy identification.

Dip Tube O-Rings. In order to replace the dip tube o-rings you will need a deep socket to remove the ball-lock or pin-lock plug. There are two dip tubes in a soda keg, one long dip tube for the liquid side, and one very short dip tube for the gas side. We have found that dip tube K119 or gasket K122 will work on just about every dip tube. K120 is a thinner o-ring, which may work better on pin lock kegs.

Pressure Relief Valves

Keg lids are often compatible, and many used kegs have lids from other manufacturers. Compare your relief valve to the photograph for best results. Type A fits all Cornelius-manufactured ball-lock kegs. Type C fits pin-lock kegs.

Keg Dip Tubes

Replacement dip tubes for corny kegs. K185 is a Corny keg liquid dip tube, and it is angled. K186 is a straight liquid dip tube for Spartan kegs, and it is 23" long. K188 is a straight liquid dip tube for Firestone kegs, and it is 22.25" long. K187 is a Corny keg gas dip tube.

Disconnect Repair Parts

O-rings, poppet valves and caps are available for popular soda keg disconnects. We normally sell Becker (or compatible) ball lock disconnects; they have a flat cap. Hansen disconnects are normally labeled as such.
