If you're an All-Grain brewer, water pH is crucial for your brew. Having the correct pH in your mash and sparge water helps reduce the chance of off-flavors, improves conversion, and ensures optimal yeast health in the fermentation. But paper test strips can be maddening.

Range of -2 to 16 pH and 23° to 140°F with 0.01 pH and 0.1°F resolution and +/- 0.05 pH and 1°F accuracy. Automatic single- or double-point calibration and automatic temperature correction from 23° to 140°F. Further bells and whistles are a larger digital display than our other meters, auto power-off, repleacable electrode, and a hold feature that allows you to remove the probe from the solution to more easily read the display.

Also includes one set of calibration solution sachets. Frequent calibration will ensure you always have the most accurate read on your water.

Please note that electrodes must be rinsed after use and stored in electrode storage solution to ensure proper function of the meter.

Works as advertised
The pH meter is easy to calibrate and use and gives rapid measurements of pH with temperature adjustments. A great addition to my all-grain brewing equipment.

Easy to use
This was the latest purchase for me in my effort to up my brewing game. I've only used it once so far, but it was simple to use and gives me one more variable to control in terms of keeping my brews consistent. Definitely worth the money.

Great product
Bought this assuming I wasn't getting the right ph in my mash; I was right. Now after calibrating this guy and doing a few batches, I am hitting my ph levels and increasing my efficiency. Fast reading. Just make sure to calibrate it every once in a while and probably before you use it the first time. Mine was off.

Best meter yet
I have owned several PH meters over the years and have always found them to be more frustrating than helpful. This meter is easy to use and is very fast and accurate. If stored properly it will only drift ever so slightly from acurate PH over several months. It comes with a cap that presses on to cover the probe. I fill this cap half way with storage solution and then seal the seam with a thin piece of clear tape. Then I stand it upright in a tall glass. That way the solution can not evaporate and the probe always stays wet. When I'm ready to brew I just peel off the tape and I'm ready to go. There is also a seam right above the cap seam, I sealed that with a thin layer of silicon caulk just incase it tried to evaporate through there as well. Works great and stays wet until the next brew. I have no idea why the designers did not incorporate an o ring seal cap to keep the storage solution from evaporating but my fix works just as good. I highly rec. this meter. I finally have consistent accurate PH reading of my mash. It even gives an accurate reading when pushed right into the mash.

Works Great
super accurate. it's much easier to use than some other meters because of the built-in automatic temperature calibration.does need to be re-calibrated every so often (which takes just a minute). most importantly, it MUST be kept in storage liquid at all times or you'll have to buy a new electrode for $54. i keep mine in a mason jason with a hole cut in the lid that fits the meter.

A little pricey, but works great.
It's a little pricey, but it works great. If it was a little less, I'd give it 5 stars.Anyway, it's much more accurate and easier to read than pH strips. You will have to re-calibrate it every so often--its only drawback to strips. That being said, I can get about 12-15 readings from mine before I feel I need to re-cal.The auto temp correction is very nice, as well as it ÒholdsÓ the last recorded value in the unit.As the instructions say, make sure to keep the electrode wet or youÕll be replacing it.

Good, but great would be temp correct in mash range
No quibs about this meter - it does what it advertises. The holy grail would be a pH meter that auto temperature corrects at mash temperatures - up to 155 or so, not the 140 high limit that this meter adjusts to.
