Product Details
Clear, fined wine is very pretty, and shows well in a glass. But filtered wine has a diamond sparkle to it that catches the eye, and looks more like a commercial wine. It’s the difference between a freshly washed car and a freshly waxed car. Both are great, but one is noticeably more appealing.

Mini-Jet filters use three different grades of pads for for increasing levels of polish. Whichever filter pad you use, we strongly recommend using the Buon Vino pre-filter setup with your Mini-Jet if your wine contains oak chips or powder, or if it contained grape skins. All small pumps are designed specifically to move liquids with low levels of suspended material, and the small, efficient and easy-to-clean pre-filter helps ensure your pump head maintains maximum efficiency as you filter your delicious wine.

Mini jet wine filter
It's great. Wine is sparkling. Haven't used it but once. When hunting season is over will make another batch of wine. Will have to use it more to tell you how durable it is. Performance is great.

Works very well.
I had a pectin haze in my apple wine that I was concerned about. After filtering with the #2 pads, the wine is very clear and probably doesn't need to be filtered with the #3 pads. Very happy with the product.

WOWZA
This little pump works great. I use it for my beer and wine, just to get that polish. I like to use it to transfer as well. It may seem like allot of product squeezes out the edges and is lost, never fear pour it back in the carboy or well I guzzle it after filtering is done. after all gotta pay the peasant doing the work! I have never used the #3 sterile pad. #2 is what i use

What size tubing do we need? We got a pump used but don't have the tubing.
T A on Sep 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: A total of 3 tubes are needed. 2 are 3/8ths for the pump intake and return, 1 is for the drain line 1/4?. I suggest using 6ft lengths to start with. The original tubbing also had a metal rod in it to help point it and keep the line straight in the carboy.
Where do you find the o-rings for the clips
G D on Dec 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: if you are referring to the part of the pump that connects the tubing to the diaphragm of the pump, those I order directly from buon vino. I have ordered many replacement parts directly from the company. some parts were considered lifetime warranty and were sent free of charge.
phone number of company is 519 622 1166 or fax to 519 622 1843.

address is 365 Franklin Boulevard
Cambridge, Ontario, Canada N1R 8G7

email is orders@buonvino.com

this company is wonderful to deal with and very very helpful.
Aside from Beer and Wine I also use my carboys to make homemade Limoncello using pure grain alcohol (95%), and it requires filtering the mixture many times to get it right. I am wondering if this is something I can use to help speed up filtering process? The fact its filtering pure grain would that have negative effects on either the mixture (which can not happen), filter or unit itself?
AmFavs on Jun 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have emailed Buon Vino to ask them this question, as we really don't know if it would cause any problem for the Mini Jet filter to run high-proof alcohol through it. I'll let you know what I find out from them! -Mike W, Northern Brewer
Can I filter my beer with this unit
I N on May 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It could be used with beer, just like with wine. However, it could aerate the beer resulting in it going bad and oxidizing. A filter system that can be purged with CO2 is best for beer. So, I would not use this system as is on beer. Cheers.
