Product details

A versatile strain and a good choice for a "House" strain. Provides a soft, clean profile with hints of nut, and a slightly tart finish. Ferment at warmer temperatures to accentuate hop character with an increased fruitiness. Or, ferment cool for a clean, light citrus character.

It attenuates well and is reliably flocculent, producing bright beer without filtration. A great option to differentiate your beer from other go-to strains. Ideal for all American styles.

NOTE: During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

I used this yeast for the first time in an Irish Red Ale. I made a starter and pitched at 66F. Fermentation started in about 6 hours and was completed in 4 days. The beer is cold crashed now and waiting to be kegged so haven’t tasted it or done further evaluation but it sure took off and finished fast.

Good clean ale yeast

I've used this yeast many times for IPAs, stouts, and a gose. Cleans up nicely and well balanced between hops and malts. Not much yeast character as far as flavor and aroma goes. I find it consistently is a little slow to start, but gets the job done.

I use omega yeast in all my brewing, it preforms the best.

Excellent yeast

Used with the Kama Citra all grain kit and it's worth the extra few dollars. Strong fermentation, spot on SG numbers, and made for a nice crisp beer that allows the hops to stand out.
Don't be alarmed if the bag doesn't inflate as much as Wyeast while it's warming up on the counter on brew day. Also the fermentation seemed slightly delayed before things really got bubbling (approx. 24hrs) but it did not disappoint.

Nice smell and flavor

Really liked the smell and flavor on this one. Fermented at low temps in a red ale. Beer came out really clear.
