Product details

The authentic strain for producing California Common-style beers. Retains lager characteristics at temperatures up to 65°F and produces malty, brilliantly clear beers. This strain is not recommended for cold temperature fermentation.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Good yeast

I used this yeast in place of american ale yeast for the cream ale recipe that NB sells... I did the swamp cooler method and had temps right under 60 degrees the whole time... Def makes for a good tasting, crisp beer.. I plan to use it again for the same recipe...
