Not real sure it works as intended.
I still have some wine that turns to vinegar, even after adding the recomended amount of stabilizer (potassium sorbate).

how much sorbate do i need for a 5 gal batch of cider

BEST ANSWER: Potassium Sorbate is a stabilizer used to kill the yeast cultures in wine and cider to stop the fermentation process. It is recommended to add one half of a teaspoon per gallon, so for five gallons you would use two and a half teaspoons.
