Selection International Wine Kits

Finally, the missing link between the home winery and classic wine styles: noble grapes direct from France, Australia, Spain and other famous wine-growing regions. These kits come complete with all the necessary ingredients yeast, additives, and finings and feature the same high quality and low cost ($3 per bottle) as the Selection Original line, with one very big difference: imported grapes. Made with 100% pure juice concentrate from French varietals, you'll be able to taste the terroir. Selection Premium International kits put the worlds greatest wines at your fingertips; you provide the patience and a carboy. Makes six gallons.

Please note: the aging recommendations that come with the kits are, in our opinion, too optimistic. We feel it is unrealistic to expect great wine after just a few weeks; age your wine at least four months (a year is better, if you can stand it) and you will be well rewarded.

Argentine Malbec. The Argentine Malbec has found uniquely favourable growing conditions in Argentina and has no doubt created one of the most successful and delicious Malbec wines in the world. A combination of desert climate, cold nights, and irrigation of eternal snows from the Andes, creates an especially healthy environment for these vines. An intense bouquet of damson plums, blackcurrant and violet aromas give way to a slight touch of hunting and leather notes. This richly purple coloredMalbec carries a velvety texture with long, soft flavors. Although it ages beautifully, firm tannins and mellow acidity allow this wine to be enjoyed while young.
