Shipping Information
Northern Brewer offers a variety of options for shipping your order, from very economical to very fast:
Every Day $7.99 Shipping
Ships at flat-rate fee of just $7.99; in-stock orders ship in 1 to 4 business days; delivery in 1 to 5 business days after shipping depending on zone. Packages are delivered Monday-Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM. Some heavy and bulky products, such as sacks of grain, glass bottles, carboys, bulk DME, wine kits and oak barrels, are excluded from flat-rate shipping; flat-rate exclusions are clearly marked with the “+ ship” addendum to their pricing, except grain sacks, which are excluded but do not have a “+ ship” due to the way they are listed. You may not be offered a discounted rate if your shopping cart contains mostly “actual cost shipping” products. Every Day $7.99 Shipping may not be combined with other offers or discounts!
Ground
Faster and more expensive than our Every Day $7.99 Shipping; in-stock orders ship within 1 business day; delivery in 1 to 4 business days depending on zone. Packages are delivered Monday-Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM.
3 Day Select
In-stock orders ship within 1 business day, delivery in 3 business days. Packages are delivered Monday-Friday.
2nd Day Air*
In-stock orders ship within 1 business day, delivery in 2 business days. Packages are delivered Monday-Friday.
Next Day*
Ships at actual UPS rates; in-stock orders ship within 1 business day, delivery in 1 business day. Packages are delivered Monday-Friday.
Truck Delivery
Very large items such as fruit presses, crushers, etc., need to ship by truck, and ship at actual freight costs. Items requiring truck delivery are clearly noted in the product description. We will contact you with a quote before processing your order. Our shopping cart system does not accurately quote freight on truck delivery orders.
Expedited Shipping*
For 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day shipments, shipping costs vary widely based upon the size of the box required for the shipment. Our priority is to deliver your package on-time. We will contact you if the cost of shipping will exceed your quote by more than $10
*due to UPS restrictions, some items cannot be shipped 2nd Day Air or Next Day – please refer to product descriptions for shipping restrictions. If your shopping cart contains a restricted product, expedited shipping options will not be displayed.
The cutoff time for same-day shipping of Ground and other expedited orders is 12:00pm central time. Expedited orders placed after noon will be shipped the following business day.
UPS cannot ship to PO Boxes. Please do not use a PO Box in your shipping address; it will cause us to contact you and delay your order.
All weights displayed while ordering are estimates of the “billing weight,” not the actual weight of the shipment.
Outside the Contiguous US
Northern Brewer does not ship internationally.
Northern Brewer cannot ship to APO addresses.
Orders to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped by UPS. You will be billed for the exact shipping cost — we do not charge a handling fee. 2nd Day Air shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will take 3 business days to arrive due to the distances involved.
We do not guarantee viability of liquid yeast shipped outside the contiguous US, and recommend that customers in these locations choose dry yeast instead.
