Product details

A 5 gallon glass carboy is airtight, easily sanitized, and does not hold an odor. They can be preferred to plastic buckets and plastic carboys because they do not scratch easily and do not break down over time. If handled carefully, a 5 gallon glass carboy will last decades while giving the same great performance for every beer or wine fermentation.

A 5 gallon glass carboy is perfect for the secondary fermentation of beer.

Seal with a Small Universal Stopper or a standard 6.5 rubber stopper. Our packaging experts have worked hard to create the best packaging and handling methods for glass carboys, so that this product arrives safe and sound.

Be sure to check out the Universal Harness for safely moving a full glass carboy.

A 6 gallon carboy is also available.

Quality issues

While it is indeed a 5gal glass carboy I performed a polariscope test and it revealed the entire bottom ring was poorly manufactured. If you buy this product expect the bottom to blow out at some point. Good price at $50 but usually for $10 more you can well manufactured Italian glass models instead.

Broken

It is of good quality. However I ordered two and one was broken into a million pieces. I e mail your company but got no response. Could be packaged better.
