Great Product Review by John
Great addition to my last brew. The flavor is not overpowering and contributes a subtle fruity taste. (Posted on 1/21/14)
Easy Apricot Flavor Review by Nate
This extract reminds me of Pyramid Apricot Ale... a tad medicinal, but definitely brings a recognizable apricot flavor. I made a 5 gallon batch of Apricot Wheat with Nottingham for a summer party and it was a big hit. This is a great super easy intro to fruit beers... (Posted on 9/9/13)
4 oz seems just right for a #9 Clone Review by jezmez68
If you've looked up clones for Magic Hat's #9, you'll often see that 5 oz is what is required. I had made a clone of this a few years back, and only ordered one 4 oz bottle. I found the Apricot aroma lacking as compared to a bottle of Magic Hat's #9. This was a different product. I just made another version of #9, but somewhere along the way, I shorted the recipe 1 lb of Marris Otter. So instead of a 5.2% beer, I got a 4.5% beer. It's still great. Even better? The 4 oz is nice and pungent. Could be 1 less lb of grain, could be kegging vs. bottling, but it's really good. (Posted on 8/11/13)
Great Flavor Review by Len
Not too strong that it over powers the taste of the ale. Will definitely use again. (Posted on 7/12/13)
Best Fruit Extract Out There Review by HokieHomeBrew
This extract is actually good! A lot of the extracts taste artificial and gross to me, but this one is very good. I use it all the time to make Apricot IPAs and Apricot Blondes. Actually got turned onto this from the NB Dry Dock Brewing Apricot Blonde kit. Very good extract, highly recommended. Use in conjunction with Apricot puree for a delicious apricot beer. Excellent flavor & Easy to use Review by beerbrewer
I've made a few batches of wheat beer using this extract. The apricot is a nice flavor to use, & not overpowering. Refreshing summer beer. I use 1, 4 oz. bottle for a 5 gallon batch, add it right before bottling. (Posted on 6/2/11)
Simple and easy Review by Bavarianbrewmaster1
This is a great product to use if you want to turn out a quick batch of apricot flavored beer. I used this when I made an apricot wheat for the first time, I didnt worry about transferring it to secondary because I wanted to drink it asap :) It is easy to use because you just add it to your beer once you rack it into your bottling bucket, or even to your keg. Easier to use than puree, however the puree does give the beer a better apricot flavor in my opinion. (Posted on 6/11/10)
