A fuel-sipping, precision engineered, stainless work of art built for homebrewing. Combining excellent efficiency, quiet performance, solid stand design, and all-stainless construction, this is a lifetime propane burner that's also a pleasure to use.

Powering out 72,000 BTU/hr with clean low-flame combustion (won’t blacken the bottom of your kettles like cheaper burners), outstanding wind performance, this is a burner you’ll be brewing on for years to come. Use as a stand-alone unit, add the optional leg extensions to raise your kettle to a more ergonomic height, and someday add it to your future Blichmann TopTier system! (requires additional Top Tier burner installation kit, sold separately).

Will this soot up the bottom of the kettle when operating a low flame/heat?
Steve L on Jul 25, 2015
Best Answer: As long as the flame is blue and properly adjusted, it will not. I have two myself and have used them for years without any soot.

How does the efficiency compare to the likes of Banjo burners or even a jet style like the Dark Star?
A shopper on Jun 18, 2015
Best Answer: This burner is way better than the other banjo burners and especially the dark star. I have all three, the bayou classic banjo is extremely hot, but most of the heat escapes because of the stand design. I use much less gas and boil faster with the the blichmann. If you are handy, some have modified the stand for the bayou and had better luck. On thing to note is that the bayou has a 30 psi regulator and is much harder to regulate than the blichmann. It uses so much fuel that the tank will freeze over and stop working continuously through a large boil. My bayou will burn about 10 lbs per 10 gal batch. The blichmann is easily 3 times as efficient. In my opinion, it is worth the difference in cost to have a burner that works properly out of the gate. This is the best one I have ever used.

How does this compare to the Edelmetall?
A shopper on Nov 6, 2014
Best Answer: These burners are fairly similar, The Edelmetall Bru Burner comes with an integrated needle valve and more robust wind screen, while the Blichmann Burner can be mounted to the Blichmann Top Tier with the proper hardware.
