Details
A CO2-extracted hop resin made entirely from Amarillo hops. This resin can be used for bittering or late additions to boiling wort — treat it just like leaf or pellet hops added during the boil. Test batches indicate that the hop resin provides a clean, mellow bitterness when used as a bittering addition and characteristic Amarillo flavors with a bit less earthiness when used as a late addition. For best results, boil for a least a minute or two to help dissolve the resin. The Amarillo HopShot syringe contains 5 milliliters of extract. One milliliter of HopShot yields approximately 10 IBUs in 5 gallons of 1.050 wort when boiled for 60 minutes. Five milliliters is approximately equivalent to .9 oz of Amarillo for late additions.
