Our most popular and versatile malt syrup. Northern Brewer Gold is made from pale malt with a small amount of CaraPils, which results in a very light color and excellent head retention capabilities. Provides a well-rounded flavor and full body. The first choice for British and American pale ales, IPAs, and much more. Approximately 4L, 1.036 ppg. Our malt jugs are made from BPA-free plastic.

I have used this may times... it fits the bill for certain brews... nice malt balance and crystal love. It is a great "quick brew extract" when I cannot do an all grain batch. A great base malt. The aluminum tab is a pain, no pull tab. So one must cut off the aluminum tab and try to pull the aluminum pieces off the mouth.Rating

I've used this in Ambers, Pale ales, Lawnmowers and IPA's and I'll continue to use it. This is my go-to LME for many styles. It's a great base for beers with bigger flavors yet versatile enough to serve as the foundation for lighter flavored ales as well. I highly recommend it if you brew with liquid extract.
