Our Bavarian Hefeweizen extract and ingredients kit yields a medium-bodied, effervescent ale practically exploding with yeast and wheat malt character — kind of like a liquid multi-grain bread.

We strongly recommend ordering dry yeast in the summer months. We do include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeasts, but it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will survive the trip given transit times and particularly hot temperatures.

Product Details
One of the signature brews of Bavaria, Hefeweizen is a medium-bodied, effervescent ale practically exploding with yeast and wheat malt character — kind of like a liquid multigrain bread. Our kit is 100% traditional — cloudy, malty, and spicy, with a smooth mouthfeel and dense, whipped-cream head. Serve in a tall glass “mit hefe,” and swirl the bottle to make sure you get all the yeast!

I'm thinking of buying a 1 gal brew starter kit. In order to continue brewing with said kit I'd like to buy a 5 gallon extract kit and simply divide the kit by 5 to brew with my 1 gallon kit. Is this feasible? The 1 gallon extract kits are too pricey in my opinion and I don't really have room for a larger set-up. I don't mind the time it will take to brew 1 gallon at a time as long as I can buy the 5 gallon extract kits. Thanks. :)

Best Answer: Splitting an extract kit in to five 1 gallon kits theoretically can be done, however splitting up the extract would be difficult and the ingredients would go stale very quickly once opened unless sealed up again in an oxygen free environment. You're also going to need to keep everything sterile. It's much more feasible to figure out the ingredients you'll need to make a few kits and purchase them individually.
