Silver Medal Winner, 2008 Great American Beer Festival.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, never judge a beer by its ABV. It may be mild in gravity, but this sessionable dark mild has big flavor. In fact, with less alcohol in the way, the true nuances of British malts have a chance to shine. Think biscuity, nutty undertones with gentle toffee and chocolate-like roast character, wrapped up in a smooth, full body. Balanced drams like this one are why British pint glasses are bigger.
Dry Dock Brewing Company of Aurora CO is one of the hottest up and coming breweries in the US. In the 6 years that it has been open, it has racked up more than a dozen World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival medals, including Small Brewing Company of the Year. But to try one of their amazing brews you’d have to live in the tiny section of Colorado they cater to. Good thing for the rest of us Dry Dock has worked closely with Northern Brewer to develop these Pro-Series beer kits. We’ve sourced the same ingredients and kept all the recipe particulars the same, just scaled down to your homebrewery. Enjoy!

- Brewed this beer multi times love it Review by scott

Well I have now brewed this beer 6 times 4 of those batches were Extract and The last 2 were 10 gallons of all grain.Rating
Extract was great but the all grain has really blown me away. Poured out of a keg. Nice dark brown color off white head. Lots of roast and chocolate. This is a low abv beer that is packing tons of flavor.
OG every time Ive brewed it in extract was 1.037 and finished at 1.010 This time AG it came out to 11 Gallons with a OG of 1.042 finished at 1.018-1.020 which is 3.15%
Anyway love this beer will keep on brewing it. So far its the best mild I have ever drank commercial or other wise. (Posted on 2/13/13) - Both light and flavorful Review by Matt G

I fermented this one quickly and kegged it fast thinking I could rush it due to the low gravity. At first it seemed very thin and was a little disappointing. I turned up the CO2 pressure on the keg to help fill out the body and it helped a little, but age is what did it. After a month it was outstanding at a normal serving pressure.Rating
Brew this beer for the deep sweet toasted grain aroma and light body. It pairs with pancakes well as I found while making dinner-for-breakfast. Age it for a month in the keg or bottle before you start drinking it and you will be rewarded. Drinkable does not mean forgetable! (Posted on 6/9/12) - Rich and Sessionable Review by Big Trav

A rich, dark brown, pint. Small ABV but still a nice smooth, slightly roasty, light caramel, mild ale. I threw in .33 lbs. of piloncillo sugar to kick it up just a little, too. Will brew again! (Posted on 3/1/12)Rating
