Great beer starts with premium ingredients and reliable brewery equipment. Great brewers start with Edelmetall™, because Edelmetall™ uses raw materials that surpass even the highest German quality standards—from brushed stainless steel to genuine copper finishes. And every feature is custom-designed for a specific brew-day task, incorporating details only a die-hard brewer can appreciate. This is what sets Edelmetall™ apart from other propane burners.
Designed to complement the stunning exterior of the Edelmetall Bru Burner, the optional leg extensions raise your kettle to a comfortable 27” while providing the structural rigidity required to support even the heaviest kettles and biggest batches. Equipped with a reinforcing triangle at its base, these copper-clad steel extensions offer unmatched stability even on rough terrain. The additional height is perfect for draining wort directly into your fermenter or a gravity feed wort chiller setup. Take your Edelmetall to new heights and never lift a full, hot brewpot again.

Any parts that should not be hosed down?Best Answer: The only part of the burner that may be susceptible to corrosion is the cast iron burner which can be scrubbed with a wire brush if necessary. All other parts are corrosion resistant. What is the PSI of this burner? The burner is about 11.5" across and 12 inches tall. There are no photos with any other equipment so its hard to dial in the actual size of it. Assuming I'm brewing 20-25 gallons at one time, What are my options when choosing a heat source to bring my wort to a boil? Do I need to use a burner, or will a stove top (electric / gas) be effective? How long is the expected time before the wort begins to boil? ThanksEdelmetall™ Brü BurnerBest Answer: You will need as powerful or a burner as possible. I do not think a gas stove will do it and I, nor probably anyone has waited long enough to find out. We recommend the edelmetal bru burner or the blichmann floor burner. Those can get that volume to a boil within an hour.Broke the shut-off valve nearest the burner off where it screws in. Where can I get a replacement part? Up to entire hose assembly if necessary.Best Answer: We sell replacements for $10. Give customer service a call and they will fix you up! 1-800-681-2739What is the ideal flame height and color when adjusting?Best Answer: It should be almost completely blue and the burner should be quieter than it is before lighting or when producing an orange flame. Adjusting the air damper and needle valve will impact the color and size. As long as its blue and quiet, you can adjust the flame height to meet your BTU needs for your batch size/use. (Boiling vs. heating mash)Can the leg extensions be purchased separately? They weren't available when I bought my burner.Best Answer: Leg extensions can be bought separately but they need to be ordered over the phone. This is because there are two versions of the Edelmetall Bru Burner, and only the second version accepts the leg extensions without modification. Version 1 burners can use the leg extensions if replacement legs are installed (provided for free with purchase of leg extensions). To determine the version you have look on the inside face of the burner legs. If there is a hole drilled in the face, it is a version 2 burner. If there is no hole then it's a version 1 burner. What is the BTU output of this burner?Best Answer: The Edelmetall Bru Burner puts out 72,000 BTUsIs the copper on the legs and band real? or is it just paint?Best Answer: The copper pieces on the Bru Burner are copper plated, not paintedWhat is the maximum diameter kettle this burner will fit?Best Answer: This kettle can technically fit any size kettle you have. The "Kettle Stays" can be flipped over, so there is no limit there but anything bigger than 25" diameter might not balance too well. In kettle size, we say it can handle up to 30 gallons - especially the MegaPot 1.2
As far as strength goes, we tested that with some bigger brewmasters and had almost 1000 pounds standing on it. It didn't even bend. This burner can handle almost anything. Cheers, Todd J Brewmaster@NorthernBrewer.comCan it be used indoors?Best Answer: We strongly advise against using propane indoors, as gas leaks without proper ventilation can pose as a major health risk. How does it compare to the Blichmann Burner?Best Answer: At the outset, these two burners seem fairly similar. The Edelmetall Bru Burner has a slightly more robust wind screen and also incorporates a needle valve. Both are capable of similar batch sizes, and both can be equipped with leg extensions.
