A shopper on Jul 9, 2015
Best Answer: This guy will heat any container you can fit it onto, so yes, a 1/6th barrel would work great.

Can this heater be used on a conical fermentor?
DrDick on Jun 19, 2015
Best Answer: it would depend on the size of your conical. it will not wrap around the bottom cone of a smaller conical. it will wrap around the upper cylindrical section of your fermenter if that section is tall enough. you need to make good contact with the fermenter walls and this heater for it to work efficiently.

Is there any reason NOT to use the Electric Fermentation Heater as a pad for the smaller Little Big Mouth Bubbler or the One Gallon Fermentor?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2015
Best Answer: The Electric Fermentation Heater should not be used under a fermentor. It is long enough to wrap most of the way around a 5 or 6 gallon carboy too, so it will be a bit large for the one gallon fermentors. You will probably have better luck with the Homebrew Heat Mat (B8136). You'll need a temperature controller either way.
