If you don't mind dripping Review by Nick
Rating
I purchased 3 of these and if you don't mind a fast drip between bottles then this is good. I am spoiled with spring loaded fillers and never have to worry about drips on the lip of the bottle.... until now. I will keep them but use only when desperate! Should have bought spring loaded. I should have read more reviews (Posted on 9/10/14)
This wand worked great for about a year. Review by John

This wand worked great for about a year. Then it still worked, but no amount of soaking in PBW, bleach, Star-San, or anything else would get a wild yeast out of there. I now prefer the spring tip kind that you can take apart to clean. (Posted on 7/14/13)
Excellent filler Review by Cosmic Brewer

If you clean your equipment every time you brew and / or bottle (the secret to great beer) this is a very good device. I bottle and or keg 15 to 20 batches a year, this item works well. I have used the same one for 2 years. Put your bottles in a large bin and bottle, yes, I lose 12 ounces or so over a 10 gallon batch, but we now have had several home brews, so whats the prob? Enjoy and have another brew with the crew, and clean that small mess! (Posted on 12/10/12)
I like it Review by Frank

I first used the spring loaded type then switched to this one and I like it much better. I can fill bottles one-handed. I found the spring loaded version more likely to clog up and stick open. I have not had too many issues with it leaking. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. (Posted on 10/30/12)
Works! Review by Jim

I have used this for several batches over the past 2 years and no problems. I brew a lot so I'm not concerned about losing a drop or two. The best thing is that when you fill to the top and remove the filler you are left with the correct head space in the bottle. I do not need another one but will put a spare on the shelf. As far as the spring loaded product goes...have one also but use this 100% of the time. 5 stars for the $$$ (Posted on 10/4/12)
Don't waste your time Review by Joshua

It's only $2.99--very well, but what's the point of any product this poor. The plain spigot on the bottling bucket worked much better. I'm gonna try the spring-loaded filler for 24 cents less--it can't be worse. (Posted on 7/18/12)
Works Review by Sasha

Does what it's meant for moderately well, but drips and you have to be able to press the bottom on something fairly flat to dispense. Drives me crazy, but it works. (Posted on 5/27/12)
Junk Review by New World Dan

In theory, filling from the bottom up incorporates less air into your finished product. In practice, this product is messy and awkward. Using just the spigot on the bottling bucket is faster, cleaner, and more consistent in the volume dispensed into the bottle. Alternately, for the same price, there's a spring loaded filler that gets glowing reviews. I'm going to try that one on my next batch. (Posted on 3/12/12)
Impressed is not a word I would use.... Review by Steven

Can't believe this in the the deluxe home brew kit... The spring loaded filler sounds like a much Better option... Wouldn't have cost less than 2$ for it in the kit... And I wouldn't have lost a gallon of brew out of 10 gallons due to a constant dripping and the occasional sticking tip resulting in floods of my homebrew across my floor, not really where I want my beer. Worked flawless for me Review by Northcoast

I bottled my first batch with this filler the other day and I do not have one negative thing to say about didn't spill at all started and stopped perfect each time I did have it setup different then I have seen others do before all I did was cut about a 4 inch piece of tubbing slide it onto my bottle bucket spigot the slide the filler into the other end so there is almost no hose between the two I had the spigot hang of the edge of my chest freezer pull up a chair and grab a bottle push it up onto the filler then just pull the bottle down when full starts and stops perfet every time plus you got a free hand to grab a cap once it's almost full (Posted on 3/5/12)
Poor Craftsmanship but Better Than Nothing Review by Matthew

the summary of my review says it all. This filler will probably get you through many batches, but why endure the headache? The main problem has adequately been described by others in that how finnicky this is and it's easy to overfill a bottle or bump it and loose beer. I'm planning on looking into the spring loaded filler. (Posted on 1/30/12)
Bad design Review by olismith

I don't know who designed this thing, but it's horrible - as the other reviews have said - every 3rd bottle it won't close and you overfill your bottle and spray all over the place. DO NOT BUY this - get the spring loaded one that is actually cheaper! (Posted on 1/10/12)
Works pretty well Review by Dan

This has lasted me around a year now with no serious problems. I had it get stuck and spray beer once or twice but was easy to stop that and was probably as much user error as the product. (Posted on 12/5/11)
It K Review by Ronald Jeremy

Got this filler with my beer kit. It is mediocre at best. I'm not sure if it came with a fitting to attach to the spigot, but I had to cut off a piece of my siphon tube for that. The big problem with this filler is that when filling bottles, if you knick the spout to it's side, it gets stuck and it will pour beer all over the floor. Make sure you have a bowl underneath when using. (Posted on 11/14/11)
soft touch Review by SB in Clovis
Rating
I used this filler for 15 batches and it started to drip a bit so I bought the spring loaded filler. I found that I liked the light touch with this filler better than the heavier feel with the spring loaded filler. Now I just have my empty bottle ready to ensure I don't lose a drop. It is annoying that it can't seem to be cleaned to stop the drip, but I guess for $2.99 you can't be too picky. 22 batches and counting -20 of them with this filler. (Posted on 8/29/11)
Cracked plastic Review by Nate
Rating
My bottle filler is about 2 years old and has been used to transfer and bottle about 8 batches of beer. It has never been dropped or exposed to extreme heat -- only what comes out of the faucet for cleaning. It's also stored out of the direct sunlight. It's now forming cracks all over the surface of the plastic. (Posted on 8/4/11)

Good Enough. Review by Charles

This filler works very well most of the time. I had the same problem, as many other reviewers did, with the valve getting stuck against the plastic guards on the bottom and spraying excess beer. Also it was easy to accidentally open the valve brushing the lip of the bottle. All in all this product is good enough to fill your first few bottles with, especially if you get it in your starter kit. Eventually I will upgrade. (Posted on 5/11/11)
Works fine for me Review by Michael

I've bottled six brews with this filler and it works pretty good. I've never had trouble with it sticking and peeing beer, but it does have a light touch and I frequently loose beer by accidentally tapping it against something. When it breaks I'll probably go with the spring loaded version, but I don't see any reason to toss it. (Posted on 5/10/11)
Works fine for what it is! Review by nymtber

I read all the reviews here before bottling my first batch, and got worried that I might need to buy the better (spring loaded) bottle filler. I was wrong! This worked just fine for me. Might have lost a drop here and there, but nothing major. It came in my Deluxe brew kit from NB. Left very even headspace, and it allowed me not to spill much beer at all. If it ever breaks, I will buy the spring loaded version, but for now it works fine! (Posted on 5/5/11)

worked great for two times and the third time using it would not open on a regular basis without having to take off and clean. (Posted on 12/20/10)
Sticks Open Too Often Review by Vid

I discarded this bottle filler after just two bottling sessions. The valve would not reliably close when lifted from the bottle and the hence it kept peeing beer wherever it was pointing. I've switched to the spring close version they sell at NB and that is perfect! (Posted on 9/1/10)
works ok. gets stuck every time i use it. Review by MikeBrenner

it works, but every time i use it, the tip gets caught in the side of the plastic and continues to pour beer out even after i pull it out of the bottle. makes a mess. i've never had problems with the other model they sell on the site. never sticks. i'd recommend that one instead.
