Dave Miller's Homebrewing Guide (a revised, updated version of his Complete Handbook of Homebrewing) gives the reader a professional brewer's perspective. Miller's writing is concise and technically accurate. Every aspect of homebrewing is covered, and about half the book is dedicated to advanced topics: all grain brewing, kegging, etc. Solid, bare-bones recipes are included for most major beer styles, in both extract and all-grain versions.
