What capacity/size would you recommend for 5 gallon batches (due to keg size)? Is the 8 gallon pot big enough for high OG recipes?
    A shopper on May 27, 2015
Best Answer: The 8 gallon system is sufficient for most beers, but if you wanted to do a very high gravity beer 1.075 or above via all grain, the 10 gallon pots would be more appropriate. Really, for the price difference, going with 15 gallon pots is very nice for the extra head space.

Is the banding at the top of these pots flush with the rest of the pot, or is it raised?
    John K on May 27, 2015
Best Answer: Megapots are designed with laser etching, so it is flush and you can not feel it. There have been differences in production before, some with stamped logos, so the stock photo is not always 100% reliable but the laser etching is perfectly smooth and flush and that is the current offering.

    Is this system 304 stainless?
    Ben B on Jun 11, 2015
Best Answer: Our Megapots are not 304 stainless. They are definitely made from an austenitic stainless, though.

What capacity/size kit should I purchase if I am wishing to brew 10 gallon batches?
    LemansPower on Feb 25, 2015
Best Answer: For ten gallon batches, I would recommend a 15 gallon Megapot All-Grain system, with a 20 gallon boil kettle. You should be able to mash a wide variety of beers, only running into volume constraints on extremely high gravity batches.
