This line of stainless steel stock pots combine great quality and remarkable value. The 5mm bottom has three layers - an aluminum layer is sandwiched between two stainless steel layers for superior heat dissipation. All of these pots come standard with a heavy-duty stainless steel lid and hollow handles. These kettles will last a lifetime. Useable on induction cookers.

The optional false bottom is a custom made perforated stainless steel screen with handles. If you plan on using the false bottom, you must drill your own hole and install a ball valve, or purchase our Megapot with Ball Valve.

I just received my latest order from NB, and this was the star of the show. I bought the 15 gallon; wow, this thing is heavy. It must weigh around 25 lbs! I didn't get the valve on it for lack of sufficient funds, but I may buy a valve later and install it myself. Quite the upgrade from a cheap 5 gallon SS kettle, which I will now use as my HLT. Just built my mash tun, so I am ready for AG next week. For anybody thinking about buying this megapot, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. (Posted on 2/20/13)

I bought the 10 gallon in september and I am loving it. Excellent construction, handles are very sturdy. The only downfall is it is heavy empty, so its really heavy with 7 gallons of boiling hot wort in it. If you can, save up and get it with the valve, it will keep you from having to lift it. Great pot but should have gone larger Review by Kevanyon

This is a solid brew kettle. I love the thicken bottom that insures it sits on a stove or propane burner flat. Stainless is easy to clean. Only gripe is that I bought my 8 gal pot second hand from a friend and I wish I would have a 10 gal. Most 5 gal all-grain brews I have done require 7-7.5 gal of wort at the start of the boil and that is doable but in an 8 gal pot but you really have to watch it at the beginning. (Posted on 1/30/13)

Brewed with my 10 gallon for the first time over the holiday. Wow! This thing is heavy duty! Beautiful kettle, handles are rock solid, the bottom is thick, no scorching at max heat. We carried this thing almost 3/4 full by the handles with no flex at all. Should last a lifetime! Get the valve, soooo much easier.... (Posted on 9/4/12)

This is a very sturdy pot. Very impressed with the strength of the handles and thickness of the metal used. Saw some complaints about pitting/metal composition but it hasn't affected my brewing at all! 8-gal pot gives me more than enough room for a 5-gal full boil without worrying about boilovers. 10 GAL MEGAPOT IS MAGNIFICENT! Review by Tom

This is a sturdy pot and I did full volume boil of extract for the first time and had no problem with boil over. I will be going to all grain and wanted a pot that would handle the larger volume and and distribute the heat form a banjo burner evenly.

I can add ball valves and false bottom later. (Posted on 7/10/12)
Excellent Pot... Good Investment! Review by J.Creek Brewer

I just finished my first full volume boil for a 5 gallon batch with the 8 gallon model. Started with 6 gallons of water, 6.5 with extract added, and ended up with roughly 5.125 gallons. Large diameter without lid allows for a good amount of boil off.

The 8 gallon puts you right at the edge for head space so you have to be careful. I had to stirr pretty agressively when adding hops to avoid boiling over. If I could do it over, I would spend the extra $20+ and go with the 10 gallon pot. (Posted on 6/7/12)
You are not worthy... Review by Jeff

...but your beer is. This is an incredible stockpot! I've spent the past 8 months using a cheap tin can "economy" pot borrowed from a friend. As greatfull for that pot as I am, this was a big upgrade (8-gallon vs. 5-gallon). The quality of this pot is superb, well designed and has a tight fitting lid. It is heavy, so be warned when moving your full-boil wort to and fro. Side handles will get hot after an hour-long boil. The multi-layered bottom is fantastic and the heat is more evenly conducted to the wort, this means quicker, steadier boils. I've had no problems boiling 5.8 gallon worts with plenty of head space for expansion, but be sure to keep the lid off and/or your heat very low. Sure, this is an expensive investment in brewing gear, but this will last longer than you, make your brewing experience more enjoyable, and beer qualities higher.

Bottom line: your beer is worth it. (Posted on 4/18/12)

I had read an article in BYO about how purchasing a good pot was one of the best upgrades to improve your beers when working with a limited budget. We were using an economy 3 gal. pot to brew our extract beers in. The pot worked ok for over 50+ brews, but we wanted our beers to be better in color and to handle the full 5 gal. When this pot arrived I could not beleive how solid and heavy this pot was. Very good quality, well worth the price. (Posted on 4/14/12)
