Our Nut Brown Ale kit is a great all-around beer: it's easy to brew (its dark color and rich flavor make it forgiving of mistakes), it's mild enough for light beer drinkers, but characterful enough for more experienced brewers and beer lovers.

We strongly recommend ordering dry yeast in the summer months. We do include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeasts, but it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will survive the trip given transit times and particularly hot temperatures.

Product Details
Styled after southern English brown ales, our Nut Brown Ale kit is a great all-around beer: it's easy to brew (its dark color and rich flavor make it forgiving of mistakes), it's mild enough for light beer drinkers, but characterful enough for more experienced brewers and beer lovers. The finished product exhibits a deep copper color, fruity/caramelly flavor and aroma with toasty, chocolaty notes; and it tastes great after just a few weeks.

My yeast was pitched and it's now been about 3 days but I'm barely seeing bubbles out of the vapor lock. Is this a slow fermenting beer or do I need to get my beer someplace warmer?
William P on Jul 5, 2015
Best Answer: Check for signs of kreuzen and take a sample and test with a hydrometer if unsure. Otherwise as long as your temp is above 60 degrees and the wort was not hot to the touch the beer will be just fine and go by faith. Otherwise invest in a hydrometer.
