Part of my sanitation arsenal Review by Tim F.

First tried 1-step after receiving a sample at NHC. Liked it so bought and blew through an 8-oz packet, so went for the 5-lb tub. Easy to use and makes my carboys look nearly new. Never had an off-flavor issue when I've used it. (Posted on 1/22/14)
One Step Sanitizer Review by Beatrice

This stuff is great. I have been brewing successfully for over 5 years and have always been pleased with the ease of sanitizing using One Step. When the local brew place was out of it I ordered a 5 lb container from Northern Brewer so I wouldn't run out for awhile. 5 stars!!! (Posted on 1/16/14)
I won't do with out it. Review by Dwight

This is great stuff. I use it all the time. I brew all grain and there are times when I push things and by using this I don't worry about things being clean enough. After I use equipment I clean everything with 1 Step and don't worry. Even though it's not listed as a sanitizer, I don't use anything else with no complaints. (Posted on 12/30/13)

I use this as a sanitizer for every phase of my beer making. It's easy to use and it's effective. I also love that you can buy it in bulk! (Posted on 12/29/13)
Works great as a sanitizer Review by Montana Pubhunter

I've been using this as a sanitizer with each of my all-grain batches and it works very well. I clean and ultra-sanitize my gear once a year with Starsan (it's a good idea to occasionally use something different to ward off any resistant pathogens), but each batch works great with the One Step. This sanitizer is simple to use and always works well. I feel better about the safety of this product as a sanitizer than any other alternative. I always keep a backup container just in case! (Posted on 12/17/13)

For years I sanitized the old fashioned way, using bleach and water. I finally tried One Step and discovered sanitizing Nirvana. Easy to use and reasonably priced, One Stepis wonderful. (Posted on 11/4/13)

Like a prior post I enjoy not having to deal with the bleach but still put on my "brew clothing" with the old bleach marks when brewing. It's one of those products which makes it easier to relax and have a home brew! (Posted on 10/17/13)
Great product.....never failed me Review by Laurie

I use this to sanitizer all the equipment that comes in contact with the cooled wort and tools used in kegging. For the last 6 or so years this has been a staple in my homebrew supplies. (Posted on 10/7/13)

Always use One Step Review by Bob

I have used One Step for 12 years and have never had any kind of problem with infections in wine or beer. It is easy to use and requires no rinsing. Stay with One Step instead of Easy Clean, which is less expensive but in my opinion not as good a product as the reformulated One Step. (Posted on 9/16/13)

Despite the fact that this product is described as a cleanser and not a sanitizer, i used it exclusively as a sanitizer for months without any problems. only drawback is that at it seemed to get used up quickly vs starsan. (Posted on 10/9/12)

I use this in conjunction with starsan. Some might call that over kill but I did have a batch get infected a while back due to just useing this as a cleaner/sanatizer. I know people say you can but after the infected beer I would rather be safe than sorry and still use a sanatizer. (Posted on 3/18/12)

It's a sanitizer, not a cleaner. Used for close to 40 batches to sanitize fermenting, kegging, bottling never had a problem... (Posted on 11/28/11)
use for cleaning and sanitizing Review by meltedlead

I bought a bucket of this and never touched it as I typically use bleach to sanitize my fermentors. But when I started kegging I knew I needed something less harsh so I started using One Step. Works like a charm! Have not had a problem yet. Have at it. (Posted on 11/1/11)

I've been using it exclusively for "sanitizing" all of my equipment for several years. Never lost a batch to infection yet. (Posted on 4/21/11)
Prefer it to Sanstar Review by Wings

While technically they cannot call this product a sanitiser, it must kill bacteria as I've never had a spoiled batch. It works kinda like hydrogen peroxide does. I just wish it foamed like peroxide does when in contact with bacteria to let you know it's working.

I do like it better than Sanstar since One Step is not an acid. While Sanstar is safe at the recommended level, it's still an acid that can hurt certain equipment over time like the bladder in my press. (Posted on 9/15/10)
One Step vs. Easy Clean Review by mowinemaker

Save yourself $8.00 and go with the 5 lb. Easy Clean instead. L.D. Carlson recently reformulated One Step, and packaging the old formula, renaming it Easy Clean. This is according to a reliable source who owns his own beer-wine home brewing store and purchases both products for sale. (Posted on 8/18/10)

This stuff works great as a sanitizer but equipment should be cleaned with something like PBW brew wash. Works fine for me. (Posted on 7/16/10)
