Appellation: Woodbridge, Central Valley, California, United States. Style: Winexpert’s ultra premium Cabernet Sauvignon offering – the king of red grape varietals in all its splendid glory. A commanding red wine, this Cabernet has the trademark blackcurrant and cherry flavors, but its true triumph is the subtle weave of complex flavor compounds that contribute to the overall experience. Oak and tannins, pepper and spice – a splendid combination of structure and rich fruit that will dazzle from first aroma to long elegant finish. Conditions at harvest: T.A. 5.0 g/L, 23.0° Brix, pH 3.55. Similar Styles: Barolo, Luna Rossa, Australian Cabernet/Shiraz, Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Food pairings: Flavorful beef dishes including steak and roasts. Also spareribs and lamb, game dishes including pheasant and venison, firm cheeses such as cheddar and hard cheeses such as parmigiano and romano. Sweetness code: 0 (Dry). Alcohol by Volume: 12-12.5% Oak: Premium American toasted and French oak. Aging: Recommended minimum aging of four months to mellow the tannins and allow full complexity to develop. Ideal after two years.

Best wine I've ever had... and it's from my basement. Review by Ryan O

This wine kit was amazing. It was my first kit, and nothing I've done since then has been as good. I've been doing this for about 7-8 months. I have gone through almost half the 6 gallons since summer. We went through a lot of it about a month in because it was so delicious and we wanted to share it. After the initial excitement, we were patient enough to let over half of it begin to age. A couple days ago, the wife & I popped one of these open and it was magnificent.

This compares to many wineries' $50 bottle on the top shelf.

It's medium bodied and dry. The tannin bitterness was not overbearing - it was just right. It doesn't leave a tacky dry feeling in your mouth after drinking it. For my tastebuds, this kit created the 'perfect' wine. I wouldn't change a thing. (Posted on 12/3/11)

Easily the best. Ugggg I can't wait for it to age. I'm going to order another batch just so I have something to do while I wait for this one to mature.

Each bottle easily compares to a $25-$30 bottle. (Posted on 10/20/11)
