Appellation: Lodi, Central Valley, California, United States. Style: The famous thick, gnarled and twisted old Zinfandel vines of Lodi inCalifornia’s Central Valley contribute to intense concentrated flavors in the grapes. The wine is deep and rich, with bold, zesty aromas and ripe berry fruits on the tongue. Robust and exciting, it bursts with a spiciness that is met head on by the premium French oak. Conditions at harvest: T.A. 6.3 g/l, 23.0°Brix, Similar Styles: Selection Shiraz/Zinfandel, Selection International Australian Cabernet/Shiraz, Selection Luna Rossa. Food pairings: Steak and beef dishes, spicy ribs, pasta with meat sauce dishes, hard cheeses. Sweetness code: 0 (Dry). Alcohol by Volume: 13%. Oak: Premium French oak. Aging: Recommended aging of at least 4 months before consumption to mellow the tannins and smooth out the flavors.

Started this in August and finally bottled in November(Thanksgiving.....yeah, I'm a procrastinator). However, I've actually had a couple of bottle and......MAN!!! What a great wine kit!!! I just hope I can let it sit long enough to get really good!! (Posted on 12/8/11)

This was one of the best i've made. Nice body, good finish, not harsh - Hint: Throw away the oak sawdust and use 2 oak spirals instead.
