Fermtech Bottle Filler

Plastic 3/8" OD bottle filler with gravity-operated valve. We prefer this filler for its cleanability. Fillers work best with a bucket equipped with a bottling spigot.

Junk Review by New World Dan

In theory, filling from the bottom up incorporates less air into your finished product. In practice, this product is messy and awkward. Using just the spigot on the bottling bucket is faster, cleaner, and more consistent in the volume dispensed into the bottle. Alternately, for the same price, there's a spring loaded filler that gets glowing reviews. I'm going to try that one on my next batch. (Posted on 3/12/12)
Impressed is not a word I would use.... Review by Steven

Can't believe this in the the deluxe home brew kit... The spring loaded filler sounds like a much Better option... Wouldn't have cost less than 2$ for it in the kit... And I wouldn't have lost a gallon of brew out of 10 gallons due to a constant dripping and the occasional sticking tip resulting in floods of my homebrew across my floor, not really where I want my beer. Worked flawless for me Review by Northcoast

I bottled my first batch with this filler the other day and I do not have one negative thing to say about didn't spill at all started and stopped perfect each time I did have it setup different then I have seen others do before all I did was cut about a 4 inch piece of tubbing slide it onto my bottle bucket spigot the slide the filler into the other end so there is almost no hose between the two I had the spigot hang of the edge of my chest freezer pull up a chair and grab a bottle push it up onto the filler then just pull the bottle down when full starts and stops perfet every time plus you got a free hand to grab a cap once it's almost full (Posted on 3/5/12)
Poor Craftsmanship but Better Than Nothing Review by Matthew

the summary of my review says it all. This filler will probably get you through many batches, but why endure the headache? The main problem has adequately been described by others in that how finnicky this is and it's easy to overfill a bottle or bump it and loose beer. I'm planning on looking into the spring loaded filler. (Posted on 1/30/12)
Bad design Review by olismith

I don't know who designed this thing, but it's horrible - as the other reviews have said - every 3rd bottle it won't close and you overfill your bottle and spray all over the place. DO NOT BUY this - get the spring loaded one that is actually cheaper! (Posted on 1/10/12)
Works pretty well Review by Dan

This has lasted me around a year now with no serious problems. I had it get stuck and spray beer once or twice but was easy to stop that and was probably as much user error as the product. (Posted on 12/5/11)
It K Review by Ronald Jeremy

Got this filler with my beer kit. It is mediocre at best. I'm not sure if it came with a fitting to attach to the spigot, but I had to cut off a piece of my siphon tube for that. The big problem with this filler is that when filling bottles, if you knick the spout to it's side, it gets stuck and it will pour beer all over the floor. Make sure you have a bowl underneath when using. (Posted on 11/14/11)
soft touch Review by SB in Clovis

I used this filler for 15 batches and it started to drip a bit so I bought the spring loaded filler. I found that I liked the light touch with this filler better than the heavier feel with the spring loaded filler. Now I just have my empty bottle ready to ensure I don't lose a drop. It is annoying that it can't seem to be cleaned to stop the drip, but I guess for $2.99 you can't be too picky. 22 batches and counting -20 of them with this filler. (Posted on 8/29/11)
Cracked plastic Review by Nate

My bottle filler is about 2 years old and has been used to transfer and bottle about 8 batches of beer. It has never been dropped or exposed to extreme heat -- only what comes out of the faucet for cleaning. It's also stored out of the direct sunlight. It's now forming cracks all over the surface of the plastic. (Posted on 8/4/11)
