It's brown, it's named after a large North American ungulate, and its name suggests oral incontinence. Ah, we market product with our minds, but we drink beer with our mouths! Which is why this American brown ale is your new favorite session beer. Dense layers of malt, caramel, baking chocolate, and a hint of light-roast coffee give way to reveal a hop character you'll be surprised to find if you're used to drinking English brown ale. The finish is complex but balanced, and the gravity is not so high as to keep you from having another.

Great brew Review by Randy

Easy to brew, hard to wait for it to condition. Me and my wife both really like the Moose Drool and after reading all the reviews thought I would try it. It's the first kit I got from N.B. I can't say it tastes just like Moose drool but me and my wife like it every bit as much. And I'll help beat the dead horse, If you let it condition it really does get better. (Posted on 9/18/13)
Really tasty beer Review by Ronald

I have been doing very small batches, and only recently graduated to the five gallon size. Had to, because I can't get enough of the Caribou Slobber! (Posted on 9/12/13)
My favorite homebrew Review by Brad

I have brewed 10 different kits so far. This is the favorite for me and for most of our guests who have tried a variety. Probably won't be a hit for the IPA lovers, but for those who like a nice malt flavor, this is really a fine recipe. At just under 4% ABV, you can have several and still function. I found myself having only 1 beer at the restaurant since I could go home and enjoy the Caribou Slobber more. I did 11 days in a primary, 2 weeks in the secondary and the yeast was the Danstar Windsor Ale. Easy and very good. I'd drink this anytime of year. (Posted on 9/3/13)
Overall good taste. Review by Tom

This was my first attempt at brewing, turned out great, been bottled for two weeks now. Tasted good after week one and two, but needs not carbonation, I may add more priming sugar next time. But I would recommend this brew to anyone who likes a dark flavorful beer. (Posted on 9/3/13)
Phenomenal Beer Review by Jake

This kit came with my Deluxe kit and it is a very good beer only 5 weeks after the brew date, even with a few beginner's hiccups. I let it sit in the primary for 1 week, then the secondary for 2 weeks, and bottle conditioned for 2 weeks and this is a very pleasing brew. From what others have said this beer clearly improves with age, but I am having a hard time not drinking it all right away. My fermentation temperatures were a bit high, around 71 degrees ambient temperatures, meaning my actual fermentation temperature was quite high, especially for this strain. Even so, a great kit. Great beer - not so great instructions for beginners! Review by John

I'll definitely brew this one again...but I'll do it a bit differently. Beginners - pay attention to brewers note in the inventory. Steeping instructions for the grain a bit vague. Even with my mistakes I thought it turned out great. Can't wait to see what it will taste like when I brew it right! (Posted on 9/1/13)
Best Beer so far Review by Dan

This was my 4th or 5th beer I've brewed and it was by far my favorite. Turned out great and everyone else enjoyed it as well. I'm not into super hoppy beers like a lot of home brewers, so this really hit the spot. Great beer, easy to brew. (Posted on 8/31/13)
Great seasonal Review by matt

I love to brew this beer later in the summer to have it on hand for the fall enjoyment. If you particularly like brown ales, I'd recomend this one as a year round brew. It is the best home brewed brown I've tried.

The kit is easy to brew and, while it's better aged, it's also enjoyable as soon as 4 weeks from brew date. It's pretty hard to find fault with this kit. (Posted on 8/28/13)

Great beer. I've made it about four times. The first time, the cat bit a hole in my expanding Wyeast pouch (really, no joke), so I used Safale US-05 in a pinch. It was great and that's how I've made it every time since. (Posted on 8/23/13)
