It's brown, it's named after a large North American ungulate, and its name suggests oral incontinence. Ah, we market product with our minds, but we drink beer with our mouths! Which is why this American brown ale is your new favorite session beer. Dense layers of malt, caramel, baking chocolate, and a hint of light-roast coffee give way to reveal a hop character you'll be surprised to find if you're used to drinking English brown ale. The finish is complex but balanced, and the gravity is not so high as to keep you from having another.

pretty good Review by Primeval

I enjoy the roasty notes to this beer. Reminds me of Sierra nevada Tumbler, very earthy in taste and nose. I would have liked this beer to have a little higher alcohol level. Next time I would add a pound of dry DME for an extra boost. (Posted on 11/28/10)

Excellent Review by MountainBrewer

I tried a bottle of this last night at only 4 weeks (2 primary and 2 in the bottle). Only my second NorthernBrewer recipe, but my 5th overall. By far the best beer I have ever made. I will be making this one again hands down. (Posted on 11/9/10)
Better than original Review by the brewing goat

I've had the pleasure of drinking Big Sky's Moose Drool, and I have to say that I like the NB clone better. Nothing wrong with Moose Drool, but i find the carribou slobber to be more slobbery,... smoother. Its something that moose and human can enjoy in harmony. (Posted on 11/2/10)
NB description is spot on! Review by Rob

Just cracked a bottle after a week of conditioning, jotted down my tasting notes and logged on to write my review and the NB description almost reads like a copy of mine! I do think that the coffee is a more dominant component to the aromatic and taste profile though (not a bad thing). Rich, smooth as silk mouthfeel that's balanced by just the right hint of hops to keep this very drinkable rather than heavy. My wife (who doesn't drink beer) tried a sip of this and said, "That's actually not bad." Her response is usually, "Tastes like beer." Highly recommend this one. (Posted on 10/17/10)
Unexpected Awesomeness Review by Joseph

This is one of my favorites of all time. Ended up kegging it instead of bottling, and even my wife enjoys it despite disliking brown ales. All around great session beer with a very big mouthfeel. (Posted on 10/13/10)
Fantastic Beer Review by Bob

This beer went fast. It's a touch sweeter than the beer it's trying to clone, but I think it's better for that. I swapped out brown sugar for the corn sugar, and ended up with a nice dark, smooth, malty beer with an excellent flavor and just the right amount of hops to keep it all in balance. Well done. Great beer but needs more Review by Mackay Clan Brewing

This brew tastes awesome and I really enjoy it as do anyone else that has tried it. The alcohol percent is really low and I wish I had added some spray malt or something to bring it up a bit. (Posted on 9/7/10)

My third brew. Very very happy! Cant keep my brother out of my bottles! way better than Moose Drool. I brewed Slobber before vacation out west, where I tried drool. I was worried ,but when I got home.....Awesome. (Posted on 8/21/10)
