It's brown, it's named after a large North American ungulate, and its name suggests oral incontinence. Ah, we market product with our minds, but we drink beer with our mouths! Which is why this American brown ale is your new favorite session beer. Dense layers of malt, caramel, baking chocolate, and a hint of light-roast coffee give way to reveal a hop character you'll be surprised to find if you're used to drinking English brown ale. The finish is complex but balanced, and the gravity is not so high as to keep you from having another.

Great beer. Easy to make, and tastes great. The longer it sits the better it gets. I sampled the beer after 2 weeks in the bottle, and dont get me wrong it was good but after 6 weeks in the bottle its MUCH better!!! (Posted on 4/12/12)

This brew is the best in the world. The grain kit seems to taste the same as the extract kit when the OG is similar. It's not hard to brew this beer all year long. A little dose of Belgian candy after a week or two makes it just sweet enough that you always want another. (Posted on 2/3/12)

Left in primary for 1 month. Then bottle conditioned 2 weeks tasted a bit "young". Left in bottle for another week delicious!

I strongly recommend one month fermenting and bottle conditioning for at least 3 weeks! (Posted on 1/23/12)

Ok. My high rating may be because this was my first all-grain kit and I am excited to have something palatable at all, but this beer is severely delicious. If this was in the liquor store i'd buy it regularly.
OG was 1.054. which I was surpried about because, like I said, this was my first all-grain attempt. It ended up at 1.010.
The write-up/description on this is very accurate. Can smell and taste all those notes described. I'll be brewing this one again. Cheers fellow brewers! (Posted on 11/17/11)
