They can only safely hold about 2.5 lbs of grains at a time. (Posted on 2/12/12)Rating - Great for dry hopping Review by wzl46

I put an ounce of pellet hops in one of these bags to dry hop my Denny's Rye IPA, and not a single piece of the hop pellets made it outside the bag. (Posted on 12/13/11)Rating - Great to have! Review by nymtber

Have used these for grains (extract with specialty grain kits) and recently for hops, I bought a 10 pack because I was sick of wasting so much wort because of hop sludge. Now there is near zero hop sludge and I get much more of my wort, hence better beer. The price adds almost nothing to the cost of making beer. Will always have these in stock for my brewing needs! Worked great for my first partial mash, kept in the grains and the pellet hops really well, leaving a beautiful beer. (Posted on 4/18/11)Rating - quality bag Review by Steve

Have used bags from other suppliers but these are just right for grain OR hops. For Hops, I tie the open end closed, cut in half, and use each half for 1-3 oz of hops. These keep the majority of the hops inside the bag while allowing the hops to do it's thing! These bags are FINER in size than many others. (Posted on 12/31/10)Rating - well made Review by Max
