I bought this a while ago, because I'm making Belgian beers for my wedding. I could not be happier with the results. It was very consistent and put the cork at the perfect depth. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's making beer or wine. It's the same result for half the price as the other floor corkers...unless of course you plan on making champagne. Corking a filled bottle of wine is one of life's little challenges. A wobble here or a slip there and all the wonderful anticipation of the finished wine (we have been waiting and will continue to wait, right?) disappears in the flood of frustration that follows. Do yourself a favor: if you bottle wine, get this corker. It works flawlessly and you might even be tempted to cork a few empties just for fun. We've plugged a hundred bottles or so with perfect results each time, and we look forward to thousands more. Enjoy. (Posted on 2/29/12)

I'm a casual mead maker and I bought this to cork my first batches of mead. Being that I have the use of only one hand, using one of those cheaper two handed corkers was out of the question. This corker is so simple to use. It's really a no brainer. There was no fighting with it. Put your bottle underneath, drop the cork in the slot and firmly pull down on the handle and you're all set. There is a simple nut on the thread rod to fine tune the depth of the corks being set in the bottle. My excitement was dampened by the fact it took essentially no time to cork 12 bottles.

Anyway if a complete newbie with one hand can use this, anyone can. The corker is worth it. (Posted on 2/24/12)

I can't say enough about this product. I have used for corking wine, mead and beers. It has worked flawlessly every time. The price can't be beat. I find hand corkers are inconsistent and this product produces the same finished result every time I have used it. (Posted on 4/28/11)
