No longer is an advanced degree in electrical engineering required to achieve flexibility in fermentation temperature control. With ThermoStar™, switching from heating to cooling is not only easier than ever with the simple push of a button, it is instantly recognizable with an LED screen that displays the target temperature in blue when the unit is in cooling mode and red when it is in heating mode. You will never need to unscrew the unit to make changes or internal adjustments.
A low-profile design outfitted with multiple mounting options—everything from magnetic to suction to nail hooks—ThermoStar™ delivers superb, reliable control even in the smallest of fermentation spaces.
Ideal for serving kegged beer at the perfect temperature. Mount it to the side of your fridge/kegerator or directly to the collar on your keezer build.
Upgrade the modular stainless steel probe to our longer 12” model and monitor the actual internal fermentation temperature of your wort without the need for a thermowell. Designed to work perfectly with our Big Mouth Bubblers and their Dual Port Lid option.

They do not produce heat or cold themselves. You can plug in a heating or cooling device (heating mat, fridge, etc.) to the unit, and it will turn the flow of electricity on or off depending on the temperature readings it gets.will this work with the thermostar 12'' stainless steel temperature sensor?ThermoStar™ Dual-Mode Digital Temperature ControllerBest Answer: The 12" temperature sensor is meant to eliminate the need for the thermowell. You simply need a drilled stopper for the probe.Does this simply have outlets from your cooling/heating devices or is the setup more complicated?Best Answer: There is an outlet on the tide to plug your device in to. All you have to do to attach a heating or cooling device is plug it in.Could you use the extended probe, plug the controller into a fan, and use the swamp cooler method to keep fermentation temps lower?Best Answer: That would lower your temperature a little bit, but I think you will find that using a refrigerator will give you more accurate temperatures and be easier to use in the long run.How many amps can this controller handle? Im looking at building a large electric smoker and will need to run 3 1500w electric burners. Thanks!Best Answer: 15 Amps
