Way too strong!

I actually used half of the recommended dosage in a watermelon blonde and it was extremely overpowering and tasted and smelled like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. I have plenty left and may consider trying it again with an even lower dose.

With that said, the watermelon blonde placed 4th in a club only fruit beer competition. And very close in terms of score to 2nd and 3rd place. So there is a palate for this product.

Used it in a vodka spritz

I mixed vodka and water down to a 5%/2.5 gallon concoction, kegged, and added this entire bottle of watermelon to it. Flavor was a little too strong, obviously it's designed for 5 gallons. I mitigated the flavor by adding some lemonade. Would buy this again. It does the job.

Watermelon flavor is hard to get

I tried using natural watermelon flavor in a wheat last summer and found the juice was too fragile to reduce on the stove, even at very low temperatures. The end result tasted burnt and was unpalatable. So this year I went with artificial flavoring. Brewed 5 gal extract kit of the American Wheat, added 8oz of the flavoring post-fermentation, and then bottled it 4 days later. The end result was a very watermelon forward wheat beer. It tasted kind of like a jolly rancher. Some people loved it, others not so much. It is clear in color so it does not impact the color of the beer at all. In the future I would dial it back to 6oz or perhaps even 4oz to just give it a hint of watermelon. But the product did what it was supposed to, so I would highly recommend it if you want your beer to taste like watermelon!

flavored water

Tried the flavorings to add to plain water. While they did flavor the water, it had a funny after taste. I am looking for a product that will "mimic" the product "hint"
