Thorough mixing and degassing of a wine kit is imperative, and this is the most effective and efficient device we have used. Drill-mounted three-prong design is 22.5" tall and made of sturdy food-grade plastic. The prongs are flexible so they can slide through the neck of a carboy.

Used this to make an orange blossom sweet mead and it worked flawlessly. Aerates the mead and water very well and is great for degassing the mead throughout the following week. After struggling with every other degassing tool, we were encouraged to try thisone. Wow, what a difference it makes. Our wines are so much better, smoother, and settle faster and more completely. Like Zoostew, we ended buying a 10 gallon bucket so that we didn't end up slopping wine all over We then rack it back into a carboy. This one is definitely worth the money. (Posted on 10/21/10)Rating
