This was my first wine kit and i put 4 bottles up for long term storage. Tried one the other day that was a year and a half old and was wonderful. Cant wait for the other 3. (Posted on 9/8/11)

Good Wine, Good Value Review by mrz

I agree with Rob. This wine has a "fruit forward" flavor. The wife likes it.
However, I think it would benefit from a little added oak flavour to balance out the strength of the grape. I also had added a bit of sugar to the ferment since the SG was a little low IMHO. I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, I don't remember the starting brix or exaclty how much sugar and I have misplaced my notes :(
Net-net: Good Wine. Good Value A little tweaking makes it better

My batch is now 6 months old, plenty of fun fruit in the glass, not a lot of complexity or spice though. I think it's a great value, espcially if you are not in the mood for a heavy red. (Posted on 5/18/10)
