Though it doesn't come in the plastic bottle pictured (mine came in a labeled zip-lock bag) I have been happy with this product. I use it in every starter I make. (Posted on 12/24/13)
Don't Brew without it Review by Gregory

It's cheap and really makes a difference in the batch. I tried a batch without it once, thinking the yeast would be enough but I had all sorts of issues. Stalled fermentation, slow fermentation and unpredictable alcohol content. Really helps stabilize the whole process and incredibly easy to use. Pair it with the energizer and you'll be set. I have used this yeast nutrient for starting the primary while making several different wines and have had great results. I recommend it highly. (Posted on 9/6/13)
Don't make mead without it Review by WhiteFox

I use 2 parts LD Carlson Yeast Nutrient mixed with 1 part LD Carlson Yeast Energizer (in other words, just mix the entire 2oz bottle of nutrient with the entire 1oz bottle of energizer). These create a perfect mix of nutrients for doing staggered nutrient addition for mead.

All of my batches have been very vigorous and I've never had a stuck batch yet. (Posted on 6/4/13)
Great product Review by AdamU

I have recently started dabbling in mead. Honey is very nutrient deficient and the need for additives is important. I've made 6 different meads thus far using this product. So far, I have had great results and have recommended it's use to other fellow brewers. (Posted on 4/29/11)
