White Labs WLP720 Sweet Mead

SKU: YP720

Leaves some residual sweetness. Slightly fruity and will tolerate alcohol concentrations up to 15%.

We strongly recommend ordering dry yeast in the summer months. We do include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeasts. It is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will survive the trip given transit times and particularly hot temperatures.

Can't wait to sample that mead! Review by Thomas

My first mead (after many years of abstinence from any fermenting) got a very nice start with this yeast! It came with an ice pack (which was absolutely necessary with our day temps. Thanks NB!) and initially I kept it in the fridge until I was getting ready to pitch. I took it out and had it sitting at room temps for a short while and at opening the vial I found it had already build up some pressure. I didn't do a starter for it this time, just added some yeast energizer and nutrient and aeration to the water honey mix, then pitched and off it went!! (Posted on 8/28/13)
Excellent w/ cider Review by Brad

Recently attempted my first cider (caramel apple). This yeast immediately went to work on provided an excellent cider that can't keep in stock.

I was a bit concerned when it showed up and the tube was warm due to the hot weather. Immediately put it in the fridge and found no issues with fermentation. (Posted on 8/11/13)
