Mmm Creamy Beige!!!!
When i think of puting oats in an ale, I think creamy malty goodness. But, oats that impart color, flavor, and malty layers to beer. Whats to loose? Do yourself a favor make your beer better.

Can This grain be steeped or does it require a mash?
K R on Oct 29, 2015

The quick answer is that it can be steeped and/or mashed. It really depends on what you are trying to do.
I am not a brewer, but I am looking for a good, sprouted hulless oat to make oatmeal. This product is a whole grain "avena nuda" that has been sprouted and dried, right? Is there any reason it would not be suitable for grinding to make porridge?
R E on Dec 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Don't do that. These are for brewing and they're usually out of stock. In a beer they can help produce fruity flavors and help with head retention. Sexy foam.. not porridge.

Is this product gluten free? (As I understand it, oats can be gluten free, as long as they're not processed on the same equipment used for processing wheat/barley/etc.)
